Not just famous for pies and cakes

THERE is no doubt you have heard of the Beechworth Bakery's delicious pies and heavenly beestings, but there's more to them than just their treats.

It all started 38 years ago and a lot has happened for Beechworth Bakery since then.

Proudly supporting more beautiful regional towns through the opening of bakeries, most recently in Bright which just celebrated its fourth birthday, what hasn't changed over the years is their passion for the people they employ and the products they sell.

No matter the outside challenges, doing whatever they can to support local communities by providing great products and continually offering steady, permanent employment is the number one priority.

"When looking to return to the workforce six months ago after a break, I made a list of things I wanted in my new workplace," product decorator Deb said.

"This included the ability to build new skills and learn from some of the best at their trade, to be valued for the skills I already had and a friendly team who pulled together to get the job done exceptionally well.

"I found them all at the iconic tourist destination that is Beechworth Bakery, as well as an extensive range of yummy goodies which I now get the pleasure to make for very happy customers – I love my job."

Supporting local goes beyond what happens in–store with the bakeries in Beechworth and Bright turning local produce into blackberry pies, a delicious seasonal favourite and adored by the locals and visitors.

"We are incredibly thankful to our staff and the local community for supporting us, and we are proud to be able to continue to do what we can to support the communities where we can," general manager Beck said.

"If you are looking for your next job or career change, and want to be proud of where you work, we have various opportunities within our bakeries, no skill is required, just a willingness to have a go so feel free to come in and have a chat."
