THE Vine has started 2022 in much the same way as it ended 2021 – with a host of nominations at the Victorian Australian Hotel Association (AHA) State Awards for Excellence.
Last year, they took out 'Best Environmental Initiative' at the Australian Hotel Association State Awards for Excellence, the TripAdvisor 2021 Travellers' Choice award and were finalists at the Australian Hotel Association National Excellence Awards in Hobart.
This year, the Vine was nominated for Best function and event space in Victoria as well as Best Pub restaurant – Regional Victoria.
Although they didn't take out the top prize, owner and manager Jimmy Ladgrove said that they still had a fantastic night.
"We offer consistency with our quality of food, service and entertainment offering and it's great it hasn't gone unnoticed," he said.
"We pride ourselves in offering old fashioned quality hospitality in a relaxed and charming environment with our food and menu at the heart of everything we do."
At the gala dinner and awards ceremony for the AHA (Vic) State Awards for Excellence, a diverse range of venues and hospitality heavyweights were recognised for their achievements across 40 categories.
The evening was a special celebration not only of the success of the winners and finalists, but also the spirit shown by the industry over the past three years.
"The State Awards for Excellence celebrates the achievements of Victoria's pubs and hotels as we acknowledge excellence in hospitality service and delivery," AHA (Vic) CEO Paddy O'Sullivan said.
"We also pay tribute to the contributions of staff working in pubs and hotels to ensure the success of our industry."

In June and July they will be showcasing some outstanding jazz bands including Miles High on Saturday June 25 and The Daisies on Friday July 8.
High Society Jazz Orchestra will also be performing with a July date to be confirmed.
