Gapsted Wines, located in the beautiful Alpine Valleys in North East Victoria, produces affordable wines of the highest quality from this unique cool climate wine region. Gapsted’s winemaking team places great emphasis on constant improvement and refining traditional wine styles while experimenting with new varieties, specifically from the King and Alpine Valleys, which are widely recognised as prominent areas for alternative grape varieties such as the Saperavi featured in Gapsted’s Limited Release range.
The cellar door and restaurant, which was awarded Gourmet Traveller Wine's 2021 Cellar Door with Best Food is open Thursdays – Mondays for wine tasting and delicious meals produced from fresh seasonal local produce, all set against the backdrop of the vineyards and mountains beyond. The winery is conveniently located on the Murray to Mountains Rail Trail, just 5 minutes from Myrtleford.
