WHETHER you want to spend time in Glenrowan or Goorambat, you will find plenty to see and do.
In Glenrowan, the story of the Ned Kelly Gang and the shootout is legendary and the town boasts museums, attractions, memorabilia and a walking tour for visitors to find out more.
Bakery and café delights as well as pub meals will give you the strength to make your way to the Glenrowan wine region, which has been around for more than 130 years.
Well–known for their full–bodied reds, fragrant whites and renowned fortified wines, you are sure to find something that everyone can agree on.
Goorambat's humble beginnings date back to 1879 when the Post Office opened, with the railway station joining it in 1883.
The Goorambat Primary School opened in 1888 (closed in 2010) which was the same year that the Mechanics Institute Hall – which is now known and in use as the Goorambat Hall – opened.
More recently, the magnificent silo art on the Goorambat silo complex has ensured a steady stream of visitors.
The artworks are across the road from the Goorambat Railway Hotel where you can enjoy a delicious meal and a cold drink and if you ask nicely, the owners of the pub will even light the silos up for you when the sun goes down.
