Khancoban is gearing up to celebrate our beautiful Snowy Valleys Seasons by launching its Seasonal Festivals with SummerDAZE on Sunday 22 January 2023.
Hot on the tail of a great family night out at the Fathers Day Fireworks, Khancoban Events Inc is looking forward to hosting SummerDaze, the first of 4 seasonal festivals to showcase our beautiful town and the businesses and community groups that make the place so special.
Over the next 12 months, SummerDAZE, Autumn FEELS, WinterVIBES and Spring FIESTA will bring together Khancoban residents, our district neighbours and visitors to enjoy an afternoon of entertainment, markets, local produce, food and drinks, kids activities and some Snowy Valleys hospitality.
Event Manager, Shelley Neale, and the Khancoban Events team is keen to start putting on regular events for the Community and Visitors. The region has so much to offer, and Khancoban is the perfect spot, at the edge of Koscisuszko National Park. With a lake you can fish & waterski on, and plenty of access to walking and biking tracks, and only 1 hour 30 minutes drive from Thredbo, it is a fantastic family getaway in any season.
Sam Bramham, Australian Paralympic Swimmer, 5 time medallist including 2 Gold & O.A.M. Recipient has just been announced as the Keynote Speaker at SummerDAZE. Sam has a wonderful story and plenty of adventures to share with us including his appearances on Big Brother Australia, and Australian Ninja Warrior. He is also an Ambassador
for Disability Sport & Recreation, Bully Zero Australia, Oz Child and Group Training Association of Australia.
Bring your picnic blanket, camping chair and other comforts and enjoy an afternoon on the lawns beside Khancoban Pool for some free entertainment, fun, and community networking. More information is available on the Khancoban Events Facebook & Instagram pages, so follow them to keep up.
A fundraising raffle will be held leading up to the event and on the day to contribute to much needed infrastructure in Khancoban Township. The major prize is valued at over $3000.00 and includes all the gear for a summer of fun.
