THE award–winning winery, Ros Ritchie Wines, is situated in the beautiful and popular Mansfield wine growing region of central Victoria yet lends its own unique aspect to the wines produced year after year.
Ros, with her husband John Adams, established her own enterprise and independent label in 2008, after being a winemaker in the industry for 25 years.
Ros selects high quality white and red grape varieties from small growers in the Mansfield region, which has ensured Ros Ritchie Wines excels in the local and national marketplaces.
The wines consistently score highly in Halliday's Wine companion, with her Gewurztraminer, Riesling, Pinot Gris, Nebbiolo and Cabernet Sauvignon being highlights.
In the last 10 years alone, James Halliday has given 44 individual Ros Ritchie Wines 90 points or more, with six achieving an impressive 95 points and above.
Recently, Ros was thrilled when her 2015 Riesling was awarded 96 points and top Gold Medal in its class and then Portavin Trophy for Best Australian Dry White Table Wine – Riesling, at the Rutherglen Wine Show, one of the largest and oldest (est 1880) wine shows in Australia.
In her career, Ros has achieved an impressive array of peer reviewed accolades; the Portavin Trophy is the 12th trophy awarded for wines she has made, the first being for the Best Victorian Dry White at the 1983 Melbourne RAS Wine Show, for her 1983 Riesling.
The new light–filled garden Pavilion is open for booking parties, birthdays, weddings or any kind of function and is available all year round.
