THE Wangaratta Marathon and Fun Run 2023 presented by the Wangaratta Chronicle and Garry Nash & Co Real Estate is less than two months away and organisers are looking forward to another big day of competition, family bonding and lots of fun.
Held Sunday, March 19, 2023, the event offers a total cash prize pool of more than $5000.
Early bird registrations close tomorrow Tuesday, January 31.
To register online visit https://wangarattamarathon.com.au/ or call into the Wangaratta Chronicle by 5pm January 31 to fill in a registration form and pay the entry fee.
An excellent number of local, state and interstate runners have already registered via the website, taking advantage of early bird discounts, however, there is still time to register as an individual or as part of a community team or school student.
Entry inclusions: customised bibs with chip timing, finisher medals for all events, accurate, flat and fast courses, fresh fruit provided at finish line, friendly regional city atmosphere and a great volunteer team.
This well–known family friendly event has been running for more than 10 years with courses that are accurately measured, slightly undulating with some twisting and turning but no hills.
There are picturesque routes along the Ovens River with multiple bridge or creek crossings and a variety of lengths for all abilities.
A number of food and drink vendors have already been confirmed with a number of others in negotiation.
