SASSY sister Liqueur is growing in popularity and now has a huge variety of cocktails being made from this luxurious distilled wine.
Creating Sassy Sister at Bilyara Springs, is the labor of love by Amanda Furlong and Rob Mitchell.
"The liqueur is made direct from our sustainable farm and craft distillery which is nestled in the foothills of Victoria's pristine Strathbogie Ranges," Amanda said.
Made using organically grown berries, and locally sourced spirits, Sassy Sister is distilled and bottled on site at Bilyara Springs.
Amanda and Rob are the makers of this delicious, decadent blueberry liqueur.
The name Sassy Sister is inspired by two sisters from their family, who combine sweet natures with a zesty wit and luscious vintage style.
These sassy sisters have matured into beautiful and capable women – just as Amanda and Rob's own Sassy Sister has matured into a sumptuous and sophisticated liqueur.
The sweet blueberries and tart red currants that form the base of the liqueur thrive in the region's bitterly cold winters and warm spring rains.
At the peak of the sizzling summer as the sun rises over the mountains, the berries are handpicked to ensure supreme flavour and quality.
"Taken directly from the fields, we steep our delicious berries in spirit aged for over 16 years within French and American oak casks," Amanda said.
"As Sassy Sister's essence blooms into a rich, warm and mellow spirit, a portion of the alcohol naturally evaporates into the aromatic oak barrels – 'the angels' share'."
With the growing number of cocktail concoctions created with Sassy Sister is it ay wonder why they are sipped and savoured by party lovers all over Australia.
One such cocktail is the Sassy martini popular with Sydney siders while watching the sun go down.
